Alex is thrilled to announce she has been long-listed for the inaugural, The Artist Prize! Zeit VI, Monkey Puzzles has made the longlist in the Painting & Drawing category.
The Artist Prize, co-created by Firstsite Colchester and Zealous Co aim to
“celebrate artists from across the UK, irrespective of medium, location, background and connections.”
200 artists have been selected by a panel of over 80 arts professionals - UK wide, Curators & Artistic Directors.
The final panel of 14 judges will now score the group of 200 to pick the 20 shortlisted artists, whose artwork will be exhibited at Firstsite Colchester in a group exhibition from January 2027. The new, open call art prize will award the winner with £30,000 & solo show at Firstsite in 2028.
The next stage - the shortlist will be announced in mid-November!
